In the New Year, looking forward… we all wish to have a better year than last year.
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” - Jeremiah 29:11
Hope in a better year, a brighter future will help people live happily and give people the will and strength to move forward. Hopelessness or despair leads to an unhappy life, destructive behaviors and ultimately suicide because the pains are too much to bear.
God creates people, God knows what people need and told us in Jer 29: 11, John 10:10 and John 3:16… If we believe in Jesus and remain in Him, we will have:
- Hope and a future (Jer 29:11) – a good gift
- A full and abundant life (John 10:10) – a better gift
- Eternal life (John 3:16) – the best gift

In Jesus, I find hope in this life and in eternity… In Jesus, I can make sense of it all... In Jesus, I find my resting place… In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
